What do you see? Tree rings are truly amazing! Each ring is composed of earlywood (light-colored, thin-walled cells) formed during the early growing season and latewood (dark-colored, thick-walled cells) formed later in the year.

Paddling up river
Tara and I on a paddle boat making our way along the Columbia River. We started at Cascade Locks, floated downstream and then back up.
Tara selected seats on the upper level close to the life boats. I’m surprised she didn’t sit inside it!
